FAQs

What are attachment-based and relational models of therapy?

Attachment-based and relational therapies look at how our early life or past experiences impact our relationships. They address negative patterns and cycles that make it difficult to relate or connect in our current relationships.

Do you accept insurance?

Yes. I am considered an in-network provider with BCBS PPO, Blue Choice, and Aetna. My billing manager will verify your insurance benefits prior to your first appointment so that you know what is covered.

If you are out-of-network, I am able to provide a superbill, which is a detailed receipt, so that you can submit to your out-of-network benefits for direct reimbursement.

A credit card must be kept on file. Payments, including copays, are due at time of service.

Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice are charged the full fee ($200) and are not covered by insurance companies.

If you have a billing question, please reach out to apadgett@padgettbilling.com

Do you see clients in person?

I am a telehealth-only practice and do not offer in-person services currently.

How can we start?

How is telehealth different than in-person therapy?

You may wonder if you are able to get the same benefits from telehealth as in-person therapy. There are many benefits to telehealth. To name a few, telehealth offers busy adults the flexibility to receive support at times that fit your schedule best. You save time by not having to travel to and from appointments, and there is no need to worry about childcare or getting home to let the dog out.

For telehealth to be most effective, ensure you have a stable internet connection, turn devices on do-not-disturb, and find a private, confidential space to conduct sessions.

Telehealth is not recommended for those who are in acute crisis or are actively contemplating suicide. If you are struggling with these concerns, please contact 911 or text “home” to 741741, or go to your nearest emergency room.

How long are the sessions?

Sessions are typically 55 minutes. The initial session may last longer since it involves gathering a lot of information.
